☀️ Many public libraries have reading challenges or activities to engage students
☀️ Parents: don't worry so much about what peaks your child's reading interests as long as their reading and its holding their attention (and it's appropriate!)
☀️ Change how we feel about listening to books- best listen and follow along better to know the book .. audio apps: hear the story local library : library card free apps:
☀️ Encourage all ESL parents to have students read even if it is in their native language: reading and enjoyment is always paramount
☀️ Let the students guide the reading choices and make suggestions for their peers
☀️ Consider a more holistic approach to assessment/ expectations
